NIGHT OWL is a photograph of the iconic barn owl high in a pine tree in near darkness as it waits for total darkness to start its hunt for rats and other prey in a city park. It is soon joined in flight by its two young offspring in one of their first hunts. The owl is a beneficial predator in our urban parks. In folklore the owl is a symbol of wisdom.
